Be A Man: The Prom

Whenever you stumble upon old photographs flashbacks of old times becomes inevitable.You'll miss those times when you were a so-called rebel,those wild & carefree days,fussing over dates days,trying so hard to be in the popularity poll in poly...*sighs* How time really flies!

The feeling becomes more fun when you & your friends gather & all start to criticise each other's 'obit' (did I spell that right?) pictures.That was what happened when I came across my old polytecnic prom pictures way way back in '98..

Our NYP prom was held at The Orchard hotel & I must say the preparations that led up to the event was such a meaningful one that I won't easily forget.Me & my friends were supposed to have gotten a room in the hotel itself BUT someone corked up our plans & we finally had to pool our money to book into this 'sleazy' hotel in the somerset area.At that time most hotels in town were fully booked because I think there was some convention going on so getting a room at the last minute at a 5 STAR hotel was a BIG NO.

So there we were the 8 of us all squeezed & packed like sardines in ONE room but we did make it as fun & comfortable as possible.Many of the girls did their hair & make-up at beauty salons in town & as I recall at that time Hollywood Secrets was the HOT place to be & be seen.For me I did my make-up at the now defunct Prescriptives counter at Isetan scotts & my hair at far east plaza.My so-called ethnic dress was specially tailor made ok!Don't play play.I wanted to be an Indian princessla kononnyer hehehe...nasib baik jadi.You be the judge.These are just some of the pictures for your viewing pleasure.Laugh all you want guys & enjoy!
