The class has taught me to be a better man. The class condemns people who spoke ill of a person's mother, grandmother, uncle or relatives. It said that whoever spoke ill or curse these people he/she will get the curse thrown right back at them..nauzubillahminzaliq.

Yes it frightens me because I too have been in those shoes BUT not to the extent of cursing one's mother or grandmother by speaking of their female genitalia and what nots. May ALLAH forgive those who have sinned. AMIN

I sent my old wedding video which was in the old video tape form to a shop for them to transfer it to a DVD. And that was last july 2006. Up till now we haven't heard a word from them about the wedding video. The first few times when we ask for it they said ok its ready they would pass it to us when they meet us but those promises did not become a reality. And we being the good guys we are and ME being a man decided not to get petty over this thing and just let it be.

But a wedding video is a wedding video. It is a momento, something that we cherish till we die, how could we not get it back? And furthermore my wife has been bugging me day in and day out. So I called and did not get any answer from his cell phone FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND WEEKS. How? Why are they doing this to us? its been more than 6 months! If its lost or damaged they should have the courtesy to tell us straight up right?So now what should I do?

Cos he just refuses to take my calls...DAMN HIM!!
Oh yea the last I know his cell phone no. is still the same..

My team has done it again. A straight win yet again. The title is closing in on us surely but truly. Eventhough we lost Nemanja Vidic in the 28th minute after a shoulder injury and Blackburn scored not long after , but we came back powerful as ever in the 2nd half with 4 goals to boot by Scholes at the 61st min , Carrick on the 73rd , Park 83rd and Solskjaer at the 90th min.

Ili had not had a haircut eversince she was born. Thus the prospect of her getting a brand new haircut really excites her. She even told me what kind of haircut she wanted. "I want to look like Madeline, mummy.." oolala cute right?

We did not go to any kid salon to have that haircut.We opted instead to go to EB HOUSE at the airport where they charge 10 bux per haircut with excellent results.

I just realised that I always update my blog on a Monday.Hmmm why? Cos interesting things seem to happen during the weekends right? More places to go. Several occasions to attend and blah blah blah.

Like Dubai where their weekends start on a Thursday, well mine did too. Dinner and supper with these people were a blast as always. Lots of mindless fun and laughter...loads and loads of it.

After a very late night the day before we girls went shopping very early the next day..well not that entirely early..haha hey 11am was still counted as morning ok. We went to the DIOR VIP sale where er some damages were done..heh. 50% off ok..how NOT to buy something right? Sorry peeps no photographs of those shopping moments cos as you know some people might think I'm showing off right cos I shop with certain people? Hmm what do some people call me? That I giler artists? That I'm materialistic? Hah!! My toes are laughing. :p

Then it was off to my grandpa's place for his 86th birthday celebration.My grandfather still look strong ok despite his age.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOK!

On Saturday it was off to my cousin Lin's high tea wedding reception at Carlton hotel where the sword bearers ruled and we got cute wedding favours to bring home.

Then at night we attended a wedding dinner of a good friend of mine Elena and Zul where I met up with some of my poly mates whom I have lost contact for several years.One a silkair leading stewardess who is now pregnant with her firstborn and the other a senior nurse at KKH labour ward.

On Sunday attended the wedding lunches of the 2 pengantins whom I went to the high tea and dinner respectively and not forgetting of cos became a late late guest to Aniq's birthday bash.

So thats all folks my very very busy weekend.

Gosh I pity this blog of mine.I have left it in a lurch for quite some time just because I have a new and better fwend..the multiply.But anyway so sayang right want to close this blog and move on to multiply? There are so many fond memories over here.So many valuable and invaluable(thank you very much) comments given here. *sighs*

Nevertheless since its the holidays enough brooding already.So its the starting of the 3rd week of the school holidays.The kids so far have caused a semi racket in the house.The house has already been transformed into an F1 circuit,a fairyland,a playground and the latest a man-made beach.Yes yes complete with a blue comforter acting as "water".Kids..they never fail to astound me.As long as they are happy this mummy is all smiles.

And in another 2 weeks this mummy and her brood will be flying off to hers and daddy's favourite place and followed by a drive to another favourite place.Can't wait! Till then its off to prepare for more weddings and more birthdays to come.I don't have anything to wear! ARRRRGGGH!!

Last year we did not really celebrate Hari Raya as our house was still undergoing extensive renovations so there was no open house and no visits from guests BUT this year we made it a point to have one. A complete success it was as most of the invited guests turned up in full swing. Our last guest left only about 3am to help us clean up. Thanks Zahrin! Thank you so much to the rest for coming also. Me and the other half truly appreciate your presence. A thousand apologies if as hosts we did not give our fullest attention BUT we do hope you guys enjoyed the food and the company.

Raya Ku

So the final exams are finally over for my son and now its time for a breather.A week of syawal has passed and an update of my dah-kinda-basi raya is inevitable don't you think?I've been seeing lots of beautiful raya pictures over in multiply thus the urge to update.Heh..

A few days before raya kept me and my two little girls on our toes.We made kuih till the wee hours and we had fun in the kitchen.Tak sia-sia ada dua anak dara.The whole house was in turmoil.Berserak but still maintain.

Oh dan tak juga lupa kepada hubby who kept me company while I was baking by sleeping at the sofa..haha..BUT he did pasang the lampu kelap-kelip so okla can give chance.

The morning of raya was a bit sayu as all of us took turns to ask for forgiveness.Me being the overly sensitive wife cried of course when I kissed Malik's hands cos aku tau aku banyak buat dosa.Heh..

Throughout the day visitations were made and the visitations don't stop till today.Seriously..I didn't know I have that many relatives and friends.Well thats good kan? Lebih mengeratkan silaturrahim ;)

And the best part of raya was a visit from them...all the way from Dubai.

They went back home to Dubai yesterday night in the wee hours of the morning and we were there to send them off.How sad.But hey they are gonna come back sooner than you think ;)

I so love when raya is near cos thats the time I get to go wild and crazy over the bargains thats been going on at the bazaars here and across the causeway.I also get to ENJOY spending all the money that I have saved throughout the months.Spending money has never been THIS GOOD...heh

On Friday we went across the causeway to shop for kuihs and kerepeks mainly.It is a yearly affair for us to get these over there cos I think its cheaper and they have a wider variety.

Before commencing our shopping we broke our fast at THE FLINSTONES restaurant as they were having this ramadhan buffet and it was so damn cheap so why not right? The food was typically cooked kampung style and I love every one of their lauk-pauk.

Another thing about this place is its very kid friendly as they have a mini indoor playground for the parents to dump their kids so that the kids don't disturb them eating.Eh not literally dumpla.. the kids were the ones who were excited to go there ok.

Fasting and proud of it..

My son have not missed a day of puasa so far.Syukur alhamdullilah.Even in this unpredictable weather with the haze and all he has managed to conquer it.I am so proud of him.This is the second year of puasa for him and I hope that he will be given the strength to perservere till the last day of ramadhan.Insya-ALLAH.

My daughter Iva being only 5 years of age had her first trial puasa last weekend and I'm proud to say that she passed with flying colours.Although nearing maghrib she started whining and demanded water and food but I distracted her and she continued on till break fast time.Really really proud of her.

I've always believed that puasa has to be cultivated as early as possible.My niece who is in Al-Iman and in nursery has been taught and advised to puasa.But of course they are not forced to but they are advised to try to puasa just to get a deeper meaning of it.

I'm sometimes embarassed to see our muslim folks not fasting and eating in broad daylight and feeling darn proud of it!Sheesh....don't they feel a sense of malu among their kind?

There was an incident one day when the hubby was waiting for the son outside his school.The hubby met another muslim parent..a father to be exact.It was the 3rd day of ramadhan.They were talking about their kids wheather they were fasting or not so my hubby proudly said that Aedil was fasting.The other parent said that his son sure cannot tahan cos he HIMSELF when the clock reaches 12 in the afternoon cannot tahan and buka and with a selambe face lit up a cigarette in front of the hubby.When Aedil came out the other parent said "ni mesti muka tak puasa".My hubby then asked Aedil if he drank any water during recess to which Aedil replied "Daddy how can drink water?We are fasting what..."

Tell me how can I not be proud of my son? AND to the other parent how can your son follow you when you yourself show such a bad example?
I guess ultimately it is up to him and GOD ya.... *sighs*

Army Daze or not

Did you guys remember this movie? It started off with just a book written by Michael Chiang and it became a stage play and later into a hit movie. The other half and me bought it after spotting it at Giant hyperstore and we did not regret it one bit as we watch reruns after reruns after reruns.Yes its hard to get bored when every time you watch it your sides ache from laughing. Even the kids loved it.

Speaking about army and such Malique has finally been called to do his reservist starting from today after GOD knows how long. Well the last time he did it was when Ili was born and that was 3 years ago. And no hes no more enlisted in the army now but has been downgraded to be an abang CIVIL DEFENCE aka mat bomba because of his knee operation. This is only the second time eversince we got married that hes been called to do his reservist. *sighs*

The last time he came back everyday but this time round he is gonna be incamp. And thus for 3 whole days I will be alone with the kids. I know its only for 3 days but you know it is the fasting month and we normally would break fast together so knowing that he would be away breaking fast with his mates make me very sebak you know. Well thank GOD my mum and sis would be here to keep me company so it won't really be that bad and 3 days will pass quickly.

I know I should count my lucky stars that its only for 3 days.I know there are others who go for reservist training for 2 weeks till a month. I admire those wives, girlfriends and fiancees whos able to withstand their loved ones gone for such a long period of time. How do you girls do it?

As for me I shall pray hard that this would be his last and final reservist call up...hahahaha ;)

Today marks the beginning of ramadhan and today also marks the day that I will be stressed out preparing for my son's exam. Yup his exams are round the corner so no enjoy-enjoy and thus I can forget about making my annual iftars...well er I will try la to make it if time permits..insya-ALLAH..heh.

So with me being in busy mode I can forsee that I won't be able to make many trips across the causeway especially to my pebret kelong to savour my chilli and black pepper crabs which was why last friday we had a so-called last crabby dinner before ramadhan with these GEREK people.

You know sometimes when you're alone and you stare into space and you start to have a memory flashback? And you start to get all emotional and all riled up and you go call yur husband/fiance/boyfriend to tell them that you love them so much and you're never gonna let them go no matter what?

It happened to me yesterday when I 'accidentally' dug up an old belapok organiser cum journal which had nearly all the events about me and the other half during our courting days.It amuses me how vulnerable sometimes we all are.Every nitty gritty single clean/dirty event is written out.Let me give you an excerpt...

"School was tiring today.Called Malik at the office.He sounded so tired.He has school today.Miss him so much.Love him too..."

What the hell is that? Who is this person who wrote this? She is so obit! *LOL* Hey it was 11 years ago.I was still a minah in training trying so damn hard to be THE IT GIRL ok.

So then I realised that all my entries were all repetitions of how I love Malik and miss him when hes not around and blah blah blah. Such is when couples are head over heels in love. Mushy aint it? I know..I can hear some of you puking already.

By reading all the entries in my journal I realised that for all the 11 years that I've known him my love for him has not lessen one bit. We do had our moments of 'tests' especially during our engagement period and it was the most trying time in both of lives. We nearly called off our wedding a month before. But fate was on our side. Look at us now. With 3 kids in tow the marriage has grown stronger.

We all had supper at Jai and Rozza's place last friday. It was potluck night. The hosts made their special popiah basah (very healthy I assure you cooked with no oil at all..very impressive), the Rendras brought chilli crabs (very very sedap cooked by the 'man' himself..ehem) and us er what did we bring? Paiseh bawak kachang jer..hehe (for watching movie la later on in the night) Oh ya and Ben & Jerry's ice-cream also for dessert.

So everybody else has updated about the 'PERFECT WHITE WEDDING' of my long time good friend-poly mate Fadzly and my sista Aishah so now its moi turn.So very sorry it took so long as kiter nikan busy woman.School just reopen,loads of housework to be done and blah,blah,blah,blah.....

It was the perfect wedding.Up till now I still cannot believe that they are married with CARTIER rings each on their fingers.Their relationship has always been a whirlwind romance from the time they met up till the time he proposed and up till now.My good buddy has always been a romantic at heart eversince I got to know him 11 years ago.He would always give his full undivided attention to the one he love.

And I know he would give his utmost love to Aishah.That I can vouch for.The other half made a montage of all the wedding pics as he knows that saya ni SUPER BUSY.Member tak tido you buat montage.Maklomla untuk his BEST BRUDDER kan?

I may not know her for long...6 months to be exact but you know the feeling when you just meet someone and you and her both have the same frequency and you just can click? Well the feeling's just that for me and her.She calls me 'kakak'....I call her 'adik'. We both have the same love for GUCCI and share the same love for a certain tembam baby boy.

I still remember my first gift to her.A book called 'This little Piggy went to PRADA' by Amy Allen when she was pregnant and on the way to Krabi! Hehe....

We threw her a surprise birthday party last friday at Amirah's grill.We gave her a gift that she ooohed and aaahed.We really hope she appreciate our small but sincere gesture eventhough it was all a last minute thingy....thank you to her other half who helped us in the planning...

So the hubby has gone for a mini bachelor party with his mates.He wasn't able to make it the other time when they had the real party so tonight before the bachelor goes 'halal' they decide to go meet that bachelor up over at BEEEEEEEACH RD.Manerla nak dapat stripper malam-malam ni abang-abang oi? Kalau yang tak tulen tu aderla...heh

I don't always get left behind by the other half.I always stick to him like glue whenever he goes out except for workla of course..tsk. But today's an exception cos saya malas dan penat AND I need to wake up early for my CLARINS PRO BODY & TUMMY TRIM. Don't ask me why I 'm going for that and don't say that I got no spare tyre cos YOU REALLY DON'T WANNA KNOW.I shall update you much much later er heh with the results.

Nasi lemak clan meetup

Its been ages since we last had a family outing cum gathering. Everytime something is planned there would always be one family who won't be able to make it. It is kinda difficult for us too especially cos our off days don't coincide with the rest of the people. We don't even get to enjoy certain public holidays. We only have FRIDAYS to ourselves.

Luckily last friday being teacher's day and a school holiday finally everyone was free. So we took off to sentosa for a picnic at the newly renovated palawan beach which I don't really see what extensive renovations they made except for maybe the new HUGE sheltered parking lot, toilets,the new kiddie pool,the new 7-11 store,a beach wear store and a cafe.

The only thing that I find most appealing was the toliets! Its super clean,HUGE and get this... it's got mass rain showers where there's no partitions for you to shower for those daring ones la of course who don't mind sharing their boobies and butts BUT for the not so daring ones you can always wait for the very long queue to the shower stalls.And the roof is a bit translucent so you can actually see peacocks roaming on top of you. Cool aye?

We went potluck just to be fair to my mum-in-law who as usual wanted to cook the food all by herself eventhough she is tired and we do not want to tire herself out on her off day. Me and Malique took the easy way out by volounteering to bring the drinks..heh (malas ah nak masak). So there was maggi goreng,chicken wings(yur typical picnic food), crackers(another picnic food) and not forgetting nasi lemak! yes yes OUR NASI LEMAK (which we ended up giving to this malay family cos all of us were kinda jelak and full eating all the other junk)

So then the kids went swimming,played with the sand while the daddies and uncles went berserk playing football and acting like kids and the mummies and aunties rilek one corner yakking away.

I don't normally like our beaches because its not as clean and doesn't have white pristine sand like other beach destinations but I must say sentosa beaches are an exception. Wouldn't mind crossing over every weekend for a beach getaway...

A message from Mercy Relief.....

Enjoy a great meal of Nasi Lemak and do a good deed at the same time this weekend, Aug 26 (Sat) and Aug 27 (Sun) at Adam Road Food Centre and our branch at Malay Village Geylang Serai.The famous Selera Rasa Adam Road No 1 Nasi Lemak will donate $1 to MercyRelief for every nasi lemak it sells during the two days.

Here are more information from Mercy Relief :

The money collected is to help Mercy Relief cover it’s operating costs.Mercy Relief had devoted it’s energies during the year 2005 in respondingto two main disasters

(1) Asian Tsunami 2004 and

(2) Pakistan Earthquake 2005.

The fund raising efforts were channeled to the humanitarian efforts of the two disasters.In the first half of 2006, Mercy Relief responded to the Mount Merapi Volcano, Jogjakarta Earthquake and West Java Tsunami 2006. In addition, we organized a mission to Pakistan where we brought 20,000 playpacks to thechildren in Pakistan affected by the earthquake in 2005. Since 2005, We have sent over 20 medical missions and hundreds of volunteers to assist inthe disasters. We are thankful for the volunteers for sacrificing their time, safety to help the victims. Locally, we are also thankful to have the involvement of thousands of Singaporeans who had volunteered their services in one form or the other in meeting the needs of the humanitarian missions.

As a result of our constant engagment, we did not have an opportunity to conduct any fund raising for ourselves. Currently, we only have a small operating budget that could last two to three months. Hence, we are looking forward to your generous support this weekend to help sustain the humanitarian efforts.

My boy Aedil turned 7 yesterday.... It was only 7 years ago that I took a gruelling 10 hour labour to bring him out to this world. But it was all worth the pain... Look at what has become of him...

He had a small birthday breakfast celebration at SWENSONS orchard with his favourite uncles and aunties.I wanted to make a party for him but he said he was already BIG so tak payah la..hehe....da macam abang-abang gitu kan?

She came...she mesmerized...she rocked...she nearly brought the whole Esplanade down.Her petite frame did not deter the energy that she has in her.I was shocked and in much awe that after 20 years in the business she can still bring people to their feet,make them laugh and cry to her antics and songs.

It doesn't help also that she has a much younger,handsome and loving husband to be proud of.I admit Acis has been my long time crush eversince he was still a mere teen playing keyboards in a group called GERSANG.Now a much mature Acis has become a musical director to his wife's concerts and an accomplished musician.

I am proud to say that she has become my living GEMILANG ICON of all time (not because we are of the same height ok..heh)

Call us unpatriotic for not being there on Singapore's national day. Shame on us for going on a holiday on this special day but hey when you have to go you just have to go... And being a true Singaporean is in the heart so thats what matters right? Heh..

So anyway we went for a short trip up north to go destress and immense ourselves with shopping since it was THE MALAYSIAN MEGA SALE. It has been some time since we last visited KL. Not many has change though although I think there are more new swanky hotels and more new high rise buildings coming up. Roads still remain congested during peak and off-peak hours especially in the town itself. The night is still very much alive with clubs and pubs opening up till the wee hours of the morning and late night bingeing is still a must in the agenda. When you're there you just wanna taste and savour everything in your sight. Who could blame you when practically most of the food there is HALAL!

We stayed over at TRADERS HOTEL a new spanking hotel by Shangri-La which was just over a month old. We would have spent a bomb on the hotel if not for that certain someone who works for that certain company who got us all corporate rates. Heh...

Shopping was mostly done at KLCC and MID VALLEY MEGA MALL.Call us suckers for not venturing out to the nearby heartlands like PETALING STREET and CHOWKIT. It is HOT you know over there and we do have two babies so thats excusable la...hehe

We made a detour to Malacca before heading home to have seafood and since it was already late and the guys were too tired to drive back home,we stayed over for a night at EQUATORIAL HOTEL.

This trip was such a blast and hence we made a pact to have another road trip soon...anybody want to join us?

Lots of bloggers have blogged about this place. How its a shopping haven, a foodie haven, has most of the branded beauty brands... so being unable to control the urge to shop I packed my troop to go see what the fuss is all about. And WOW I mean to me its REALLY wow. (ok I'm over-reacting a teeny weeny bit) The place reminds me a bit of KLCC and MID-VALLEY MEGA MALL! So bright, so spacious and oh so many shops! My kinda shops!

I burnt a HUGE hole in my pocket shopping as it was the MALAYSIAN MEGA SALE and I couldn't miss out on the opportunity can't I? So while the guys babysat the kids at a nearby coffee joint me together with a fellow shopoholic cum cousin went on a bingeing spree. And we shopped like there was no tomorrow.

All three of us became chefs for a day at THE RENDRAS last saturday.It was great cooking and comparing tips with these girls. We really cooked up a storm in the kitchen.Very kecohrable and fun! We made SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE and BLACK PEPPER STEAK for the main course and had CHOCOLATE FONDUE for our dessert. We felt so good about our success that we were even contemplating of opening up our own restaurant! hahaha...

All hell broke loose during the preparations. Lots of "heated" exchanges were made but we overcame them with great gusto as how normally er most chefs would react. Even the guys chipped in to make the chocolate fountain work.Eventhough it didn't exactly work like we wanted it to work BUT nevertheless chocolate is still chocolate and who is able to resist them?

The guys being our cerewet guinea pigs did not complain one bit about our cooking (they had second and third helpings ok..don't play play) so we take it as good sign to motivate us further to cook a whole meal again the next time.
As the night grows darker and the stomach gets distended this was what we did...

What better way to instill good racial ties among kids than to have a day to celebrate it.My girls learned that no matter what race their friends are they should always treat each and everyone of them equally.

The school held a celebration where talks and presentation were given about each race and their significance.
I must say I was quite impressed when I saw that some Chinese pupils wore the baju kurung and some Malay pupils like my girls wore the traditional cheongsam.Even the teachers were not spared.Some Chinese teachers were seen donning the Indian kurta and some even wore sarees. Such an impressive lot!

I found an excerpt from a book that I find particularly interesting.I found some of it are quite true and I find some of it particularly not. So tell me what do you think?

So there you have it the official opening of our new stall at MALAY VILLAGE GEYLANG SERAI.The whole eating place is called SEDAPURA.We are open from morning till late at night.And there is an added bonus for all you soccer fans out there.There is a HUGE screen TV there that is showing all the WORLD CUP matches! So its like killing two birds with one stone aite? Oh yea for those of you who love smoking pipe aka sheesha...we would be having that as well very very soon so keep your eyes and ears open.

Just like to say thanks to Sharinna and beau,Lydia,Farah,Haslinda and Rudy for coming over last night to give us your full support.Me & Cik Malique truly appreciate your presence.Next time come again to lepak-lepak ok.Not forgetting also to all our customers old and new for your utmost support all this time.We wouldn't make it this far without you.... So the story goes on... and its our trip to DISNEYLAND! Lots of people told us that this Hongkong disneyland was super small compared to those in LA and Orlando and even Tokyo.But it was ok for us cos kiter ni belom mampu kan nak pegi jauh2 so kirakan this was our trial trip to disneyland lor ;)

It is true what people say that when you step into disneyland the inner child in you comes out in FULL FORCE.You get excited,you want to try all the rides and you just want to walk on and on and on.And when the day comes to a close you just can't help feeling sad that you would never ever encounter this whole magical phenomenon again..

But then again there's always more disneyland trips to come right?Do enjoy these magical pictures with us...

We were supposed to go to OCEAN PARK today but due to certain unforseen circumstances and also due to the weather being bleak and rainy all morning we decided to pass.We went instead to WanChai to explore the other side of Hongkong and to look for halal dimsum.

We got lost while looking for that halal dimsum and by that time we were already famished so we made do with whatever halal restaurant we could find and just sat down for lunch.Only after our lunch on our way back that we located the halal dimsum eatery *sighs* Maybe next time we shall try it.
The rest of the day was spent last minute shopping at LADIES MARKET again,TEMPLE STREET MARKET and JADE MARKET.

We walked all the way back to our hotel after that yes...the whole stretch of NATHAN ROAD.We just had our dinner in our rooms that night because we had to pack for our check out the next day.

Time move so fast when you're having fun.But nevertheless we did enjoy our trip so very much and would definately recommend whoever who wants to come here for a holiday.

We went to eat at shadowman for the very last time for brunch and then had to rush back for our airport transfer.

Our last moments in hongkong was spent SHOPPING...yes yes AGAIN at hongkong international airport especially when we saw the hongkong disneyland boutique.Haizz aper lagi?Borong lagi barang2 disney!

So there you have it our five day trip to hongkong.A short and sharp trip with no whims or fancies.Hope my trip will transpire some of you out there to go to hongkong ya (mcm ambassador hongkong pulak aku ni hehe) Enjoy the photos peeps!

After a hearty full breakfast of bread with sambal ikan bilis(which we brought from spore),bread with nutella,coco chex with milk,honeystars with milk we were ready for our half day city tour round hongkong.
Our city tour mainly consists of strategic and historical places aka tourist hot spots in hongkong.We took pictures at the bay overlooking the beautiful skyline of hongkong island.We went to the AVENUE OF STARS which was a replica of hollywood's walk of fame but instead of hollywood stars these were hongkong stars.
We visited the famous GOLDEN BAUHINIA SQUARE in wan chai ouside the HONGKONG CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE where there is a flag-raising ceremony there daily!
We stopped by a jewellery factory where I got myself a pair of earrings,we went to a herbs shop where we learn the different types of herbs suitable for our common ailments,we went up the peak at REPULSE BAY where we took in a breathtaking view of hongkong.
We even managed to stop at STANLEY MARKET to do our FIRST ever shopping!An hour given by our guide was not enough for us so we cheated and came back about another hour later with bags & bags of bargains.
The rain that came did not dampen our spirits as we continued our last stop of our day tour at ABERDEEN FISHING VILLAGE.
By then our tummies were grumbling for food and we stopped by a quaint little place at ASHLEY ROAD in TSIM SHA TSUI for our late lunch and early dinner.This place was recommended by haneymum who said that the food was delicious and generous despite the steep price and boy she was right!We were immmediately full after that and had a hard time walking that short distance back to our hotel.
After resting our tired legs we decided that we needed to venture out some more so we went to the pier and took THE STAR FERRY to CENTRAL(HONGKONG ISLAND).It was an experience I tell you on board that star ferry.It swayed here and there and I had to concentrate not to get mabok.
From central we did not take the ferry back but took the MTR(mass transit railway) instead.Their MTR is exactly like our MRT but I think their trains run way faster than ours!
Before we headed back we stopped by the famous LADIES MARKET to check out the bargains there.We did not manage to really shop there as the kids were already cranky and thus ended our second day in hongkong.

So the much awaited day finally arrives.After weeks of cracking heads & asking help from people (thanks Haneymum) we were on our way to asia's SHOPPING paradise!This trip was especially special because it's my mum's maiden flight!Yep my mum has never travelled in an airplane.A train yes.Car yes..airplane a no no.She was excited weeks prior to our departure.Hari2 cakap pasal hongkong ok.Don't blame her.I would too if it was my first flight.
Our shopping spree started even way before we sempat sampai hongkong.The airport's departure lounge sale was too good to resist.And what else can we splurge on here that is super cheap other than beauty products and perfume?Definately a bargain I would say.
We arrived in hongkong close to 4 in the evening and after checking in our hotel at kowloon and dumping our bags in our super small room we wasted no time in checking out our surroundings.
Food was our main priority because we've heard people telling us that halal food was scarce in hongkong BUT what we found out was halal food was everywhere IF you look in the right places,do your research beforehand (like the internet) and armed with a GOOD map.We even managed to locate the mosque where the good people there told us where all the halal eateries were located and also telling us the prayer times there.
So the first day ends with us having a tummy full of briyani,tandoori meat,naan,mint tea tarik,goodies from HARD ROCK CAFE and several tired legs.

A full week of the school holidays just whizzed by........Soooooo what have we done in the past week in between parties,visiting babies,sleeping long long hours at home,facing the PC nearly 24 hours everyday,playing X-BOX,watching movies,catching up with the kids reading,visiting the library??
We went HERE...

It was the kids very FIRST cable car ride and like all kids they were mighty excited to be part of this so-called-dangling-in-the-air phenomenon. BUT that soon turned into anxiousness and muka start to cuak when the ride started.The kids weren't the only ones who were cuak... despite their mummy's attempt to maintain her cool by hiding her eyes behind her UBER HUGE SHADES and put on a FAKE SMILE all through the ride she cannot help but feel SUPER CUAK ok *GULPS*

So after that HIGH cable car ride we took the kids to another exhilarating mode of entertainment which includes hyper screaming kids & toddlers frantically doing the jiggy with FIVE super hyperactive JAMBU & er HANDSOME adults at SINGAPORE EXPO!
Yerrrrrps its THE HI-5 LIVE ACTION HEROES!! The show was equally good even without Kathleen who was pregnant and in her 3rd trimester.The one who took over her, SUN still manage to entertain the kids with her antics and wit.

He came out on the 27th of May weighing a hefty 3.36kg looking all BIG and HEALTHY.Kudos to the MOTHER, my dear cousin who despite having a long labour did not even use any epidural! You're one STRONG lady babe and you still look so radiant as ever even with pilis and all.

Visited her at her HUMBLE ABODE aka CHEW INTERIOR design punyer rumah aka LAWA nak mampos believe it or not for the very first time! It was also my very first time to really have a long conversation with her (maklomla cousins tapi setahun sekali jer jumpa...then kalau jumpa pon dua-dua malu-malu kuching *sighs*) So after this with future plans of going holidays together *winks* at Jai... I'm pretty sure my relationship with her now is gonna be much much better.
Oh yes we met up with this two KRAYON mummies there and we had fun sharing our birth experiences with each other...heh

A birthday is never easy to plan especially if it's a FIRST.But the woman is lucky enough to have her husband,family & friends there to help her with all the preparations for her daughter's FIRST BIRTHDAY BASH!Kudos Nura for the GREAT PARTY!We really love the food especially the nasi padang and the barbequed stuff.I love your house(eventhough I didn't get a detailed tour of the house but from the outside the house looks really really nice & cozy.You owe me a tour aite mrs esman) and most of all we so love the FAMILY IN WHITE who made us all feel so welcome...

Every thursday night at 10pm me & my two girls (if they are not asleep) would be glued to TV12 to watch a seemingly garang- slightly over-weight woman tame exorcist-like devils to become little angels their parents would be proud of.I was shocked when I first started to watch this so-called-drama that these kind of kids do exist in our world.Brutally kicking,punching,scratching and biting their parents.Calling them fat cows,B****,fat asses GOSH! What has the world turn the kids into?They have become little tyrants in their small little world!
The show made an impact on my girls.They were kind of disturbed after watching kids their age act in that tyrannical way towards their parents and their siblings.During one of the episode Iva came up to me & said "Mummy I love you and I don't want to make you cry..." Then she gave me a hug.Awwwww such sweetness kan?
Sometimes I count my lucky stars that my three children are not like those on Supernanny.They may have their tantrums now and then but they don't go round calling me & their daddy names.They don't kick,punch,scratch us when they don't get what they want.I guess its important to instill moral values to them at a young age so that they would know how to behave as they grow older.
Certain individuals have a different way of bringing up their kids.Like the caucasians for example they don't believe in spanking or any form of physical punishment.They believe in talking.They believe in treating their kids like friends.But for us here I know for sure it's difficult to cultivate that act.I tried believe me I did BUT it takes lots and lots of patience!Tangan mesti nak jalan! hehehe...
I did buy the Supernanny book and I must say its an interesting read.I love her TOP TEN RULES.And I'm trying to use some of it for my kids.Hey we are all humans right?Theres no such thing as a PERFECT parent.We are all learning.

Breakfast with CLASS

After whisking off Aedil to school the four of us headed down to East Coast Macdonalds for breakfast with the good people of CLASS 95.There was a long queue of cars lining up for free Macdonalds breakfast,free class 95 premiums & free CLASS 95 car decals OH and not forgetting the FIRST ever musical cd by ROD MONTEIRO & JEAN DANKER!

We did not join in the queue as we came pretty early and the girls were already hungry so we went to stuff ourselves first.But we did met the DJs after their stint & BUT of cos took pictures la..what else?Heee...

The CD is really hilarious & you won't get bored listening to it over & over again!It compiles all the best of the best moments during Rod & Jean's CARTUNES

Just came back from the hospital to see these two come out fresh from their mummy's tumtum(when I say fresh meaning not even cleaned at all hokay!hehe).The mummy's still pretty weak after her C-sect but ALHAMDULLILAH shes fine.I couldn't get to see her in the ward but I did manage to speak to her over the phone. The babies are fine too although they are now under observation.Lets all pray for their speedy recovery ya.

Its never easy to find friends whom you can trust your innermost secrets to.Seriously speaking I don't really have a best friend.A girl best friend that is.The only BEST FRIEND (other than my beloved hubby) I have is a guy whom I've known for 11 years.To me I feel that a guy understands you so much better than girls do where matters of the heart are concerned.And GUY BEST FRIENDS don't get merajuk that easily too..heh

My guy friend goes shopping with me,gives non-hypocritical comments when hes not happy & I love it when hes frank with me.Hes there when I need a shoulder to cry on & hes there when I'm in difficulty.And the best part is both of us are born in January & both of us are CAPRICORNS!Hmmmm was that why we could click?It was always a pleasure to go with him anywhere especially when it comes to travelling.We have so much in COMMON that people often mistake us for being siblings! Siblings... tapi lain mak lain bapak haha...

Speaking of lain mak lain bapak I just realised that I have much in common with this other person too.Eventhough she lives seven hours away from me in another continent (does middle east count as another continent?k k nevermind) Its freaky I know BUT its a good kind of freaky.We ESPECIALLY both LOVE BIG BAGS (I just realised that all my GUCCI bags are HUGE except for a GOLD evening bag..bad bad shireen),we have a fetish for PRADA shoes,we have the same GUCCI clogs (she bought hers in Dubai while I bought mine here) and we both have husbands who like to 'bitch' about other people (yes yes surprise? guys do bitch you know & it aint good honey) I know I'm exaggerating about the COMMON part cos its no biggie that just by having the same barang-barang we both have something going on but it still shows that both of us have the same tastes no?

I just find that I could relate to her about anything under the moon or stars without having to feel shy or embarassed about it.I listen to her & vice versa.I tell her many times that I feel like her stalker cos I buzz her everytime shes on MSN,I sms her or call (yes even when shes in the other continent but only when its importantla) & everytime shes here I always try to grab her first after shes met up with her family that is BUT she convinces me that she is touched that I love being with her & she ENJOYS my company...HAHAHA

And I think I may have found some BEST FRIEND material in that kudut body of hers!!! ...hehehe (no offense woman-who-just-turned-25)

We waited for nearly seven hours for the lil teeeny one to come out.And while waiting we amused ourselves by taking pictures (what else?),watching INDECENT PROPOSAL on channel 5,watching FORREST GUMP on TV3 and getting 'mabok' on cafe latte at the vending machine.

But it was worth the wait cos when he came out I got to see him open his eyes (but I forgot to take his picture amidst all the excitement!DAMN!) beside his tired but still glowing & beautiful mummy.Welcome to the world BABY REYHAN & a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to his proud parents Lennie & Rendra for their bundle of joy.

We had a back to back outing last weekend.From being high from TULANG to being high on PEPSI to being high on TEH TARIK and FINALLY being high and I mean really high at OM CAFE. And the best part was we did not even feel drained or 'dead' after these outings eventhough on both nights we went back till the wee hours of the morning.Maybe because the company we had made us forget how tired we were.

FRIDAY
With 20 dollars worth of tulang on top of nasi goreng and mee goreng no wonder all of us went a lil bit crazy(well especially the guys).One was already mabok by the kambing.One was telling corny jokes.Two were well in a world of their own.The ones who remained sane throughout the night were of cos la us THE GIRLS..hehe

Being at OM cafe reminds you of being in both India & the Middle east.With their Indian artefacts to their arabian night theme it was no wonder all who were there felt completely at home.It was a pleasure to have met Lydia & Farah with their other halves sharing tips on ehem ehem marriage & ehem ehem baby-making.My husband was of cos the joker of the night chiding people until we were all sore from laughing too hard.Dear Farah please forgive my hubby for teasing you all night..heeee

It was our first family photo shoot.And of all days my kids had to be on their 'best' behaviour that day. Imagine my frustration.All the advice & practice that I taught them all went down the drain.When you ask them to smile in front of the camera..they don't want to smile BUT when they are behind the camera they start to giggle & smile.It wasn't because they were hungry cos they already ate and it definately wasn't too early cos it was 12 noon & that was the time where my kids were the most active.It was just one of those days that they just refused to do whatever you tell them to do!
But luckily one finally warmed up & he was the least among my kids that I expect to really be natural infront of the camera.Aedil made my day! I thought that he would whine & not co-operate in front of the camera BUT boy was I wrong!He wast the most smiley & most natural among my three brood.My two girls?Hopeless!Masam jer all the way... PMS agaknyer...*sighs*
I just hope that the pictures came out alright...

We all gave her a BABY SHOWER last Friday at Hana's place.We were all ecstatic cos it seemed ages since our last get together.There were NEW faces,dah BASI faces,first time faces & selalu-ada faces.This time round the party wasn't just for the BIG girls BUT there were little teeny tiny feet pattering all around.Curious toddlers & screaming babies were the highlight of the day.Gamat rumah Hana!

Making a baby is indeed an easy task BUT on the other hand both of us still need to consider what another baby would do to us emotionally,physically & financially.Hopefully HE will be able help us come to a decision...

Thank you all for the condolences & doas for Allahyarham Saifuddin.My hubby especially truly appreciates your kind words during this difficult time.It has been a week already and life has to go on.

Last Thursday was Aedil's Sports Carnival at Bedok stadium.It was a very exciting & proud moment for us P1 parents as this was the first time that OEPS included the lower primary in their official sports meet.Although Aedil did not manage to win anything BUT we concluded that he thouroughly enjoyed himself and thats what matters,right?

Last week she came over despite just being in Singapore for only 24 hours just so that she can give me & my girls our much much belated pressies.Thank you darling Raihan for remembering us and we love what you gave us...

My weekends are normally rather mundane because our official family day is a Friday(that explains why I always do my kids birthdays,gatherings,hari raya open houses etc on this day) cos thats when the hubby does not have to cook his famous nasi lemak.So every Friday its off to the inlaws & then sometimes later at night its a meet up with close friends.Last weekend was no exception.

My sister-in-law officially moved to her new abode last Friday and I absolutely love the way she does her mainsionette house.It makes me want to move to a mainsionette too!*sighs* These are some snippets of her lovely house...

Passing of a Friend

Allahyarham is the one wearing glasses

My hubby lost a best friend,a brother whom he has known since he was seven to a fatal accident that happened last friday morning 24th March 2006.He only found out about it when he was going for his Friday prayers.The news had shocked him and had reduced him to tears.A bachelor at 33,an expert in massaging & healing people who were sick,helping people who were in need,devoted to friends & family and devoted to his religion.The friend was a good guy.This was proven when I saw grown men cry for him at his funeral last Saturday.My hubby and his friends included.

Last Wednesday one of his friends was last massaged by Allahyarham.In the midst of massaging, Allahyarham said that he hasn't seen his old friends from STI for a such a long time.And he joked, "Agaknya bila aku meninggal nanti baru dapat jumpa kawan-kawan lama...." And that statement became reality that fateful Friday.

Why is it that the good people no matter how old or young they are always go first?

Semoga Allah S.W.T mencucuri rahmat ke atas rohnya dan mengampuni segala dosa-dosanya....AMIN

Surprisingly I enjoyed myself after watching this 'live' at THE MAX PAVILLION for the very first time.Was it because of the FREE tickets that we got?OR the company we were in?OR probably because the artistes this year was SUPER happening...All those who won REALLY deserved to win especially my very favourite TAUFIQ BATISAH!! But then again this year's performances were REALLY SMASHING!Tak rugi pergi...
